I run an affiliate marketing site in the personal development space, mainly promoting books and courses for commissions.
I’ve done the usual Google SEO work for my site, but as the title suggests, most of my traffic doesn’t come from there. The best part? It’s way easier and faster than traditional SEO.
I’ll share what’s working for me, in case it helps anyone boost their own traffic. Even if you already know these methods, it might give you new ideas.
1. Quora: 3,541 clicks per month - 489 conversions
You probably know Quora already—it’s a popular Q&A site that can send loads of traffic if used right.
The process I follow is 100% free.
What I do:
Set up your Quora profile with a link to your site and mention your background or expertise in your niche.
Use ChatGPT or Claude to create answers. Here’s the format that’s worked best for me:
Start with a goal you’ve achieved to show your experience: “I’ve…”
Share helpful tips that are directly related to the question.
Mention your website as a resource without adding a direct link. This keeps you from getting banned.
Copy the question into ChatGPT, write your answer, and post. I aim to do 20 answers per day.
2. Pinterest: 7,452 clicks per month - 1,243 conversions
You probably know Pinterest too, but what’s exciting is that I only spend about 15 minutes a day on it.
This method isn’t completely free, but it’s been worth the small cost for the results.
What I do:
I use Swiftpinz to create my pins. It’s affordable—$20 a month lets me generate up to 60k pins, which is plenty.
Post 5-10 pins a day from different articles. Wait at least two days before posting the same article again.
Focus on eye-catching images with text overlays that make people want to click.
That’s it! If you stay consistent, you’ll see traffic start to grow in a matter of weeks.
People pull the same tricks on this forum, and it’s easy to see through. It’s like preying on beginners who don’t know better. I’ve seen really successful affiliate marketers, but they usually use black-hat tactics. I prefer to focus on value and honesty. It helps me sleep better at night.
Thanks! Quora is great for exposure. I always make sure to include a signature at the end of my answers to showcase my expertise, with relevant keywords added in.
