I’m looking to delete a blog from Tumblr but can’t quite figure out how to do it. What’s the step-by-step process to make it disappear for good? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!

Did you start a sideblog under your current Tumblr account, or did you create a completely new account with a different email and password?

I assume you created a so-called sideblog? Aka you have two blogs now, both with different names and both attached to your account?
Deleting such a blog is quite straightforward:
-
on mobile choose the blog you want to delete from the drop-down list at the top left corner of your profile (in the same place you previously clicked “new blog”!)

tap the gear icon (“account settings”)

scroll down, there should be options such as “change your username”, “queue”, “gifts”, “visibility” and, finally, “delete this tumblr”

tap it and then enter your password - that is, your MAIN password, the same one you use to log in to tumblr, the one you chose when you made a main account.
That should do it - you’ll delete your sideblog only, and NOT the main blog (because I assume you want to keep it
