I listened to a couple of episodes of Experts on the Wire last year. It was really good a few years ago with a lot of helpful content, but now it seems like many SEO podcasts have just stopped, and the creators moved on to other things.
I miss it because podcasts were my favorite for long drives or gym sessions. Some were fun and casual, and you’d still get great insights without it being too serious.
If anyone knows of any great SEO podcasts still going, let me know. I’d love to find something new—something beyond the usual email backlink strategies!
SEO is such a specific niche that I’m sure it’s hard to keep a podcast running for years.
The skeptic in me also thinks some podcasts exist just to spam backlinks everywhere. After hitting a few hundred on solid sites, it probably doesn’t help much anymore.
Grumpy SEO Guy is still around, though it’s mostly the same rant over and over. But there are some good tips in there if you dig through it. Check out the forum for the popular episodes, and then skim for titles that catch your eye. That should keep you busy for a while.
Edge of the Web is still decent.
SEO Research Suite seems cool—it goes into technical stuff like Google patents. I just started following it, so I can’t say much yet.
@Will
Grumpy SEO Guy is great, but it’s funny how whenever they explain SEO scams or how scammers make money, they get bombarded by downvote bots. Watch this comment—it’ll probably happen here too.

I think SEO Hub podcast is worth checking out. They have some good guest speakers every now and then.
I listened to a bit of that one. Honestly, some of their ideas are pretty bad. Like telling people to become SEO experts just by reviewing audits? That sounds terrible.

Yeah, but at least we got someone else to share a link to another small podcast in this forum today. Small win for SEO promotion, I guess.
Wait, do you think they’re promoting their own stuff or just recommending it? Was it even helpful?
@SHANIA
No clue. But these kinds of posts—where people suggest random, obscure channels—always feel a bit off to me. It’s like a pattern of sneaky self-promo.

Maybe, but the thread is asking for podcast suggestions.
What do you think we should do? Ban all podcast posts? Or block people from sharing links?
We’ve been trying hard to cut down on spam around here—probably reduced it by 80% in the last week.
