Do you believe in 1500+ words as the ideal length for a blog post?

Longer content is recommended by SEO experts and appears in all Google search results.

My issue with this is that the majority of them cite comparable studies or graphs showing lengthy form material in the top ranking posts.

Even so, the study makes sense. I have two primary questions.

How can someone write 2000 words for a basic response post that can be responded in 100 words?

All I am doing now is leveraging unrelated but kind of related stuff to prolong and add fluff.

Would not a customer looking for a straightforward, straightforward response be perplexed by such a lengthy post?

I get what you’re saying. Long posts can rank well but don’t force it just to hit a word count. If you can cover something in 100 words, keep it short and sweet. Your readers will appreciate clear, useful info without the fluff.

While 1,500+ words can provide in-depth coverage and value, the ideal length depends on the topic and audience. Quality, relevance, and engagement matter more than word count alone.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer for blog post length. Some experts suggest 1500-2000 words for in-depth content, which can improve SEO and provide comprehensive coverage of a topic. However, shorter posts (500-750 words) are also effective, especially for capturing attention quickly and aligning with specific marketing goals. The ideal length depends on your audience, content goals, and the topic’s complexity.
