The December core update has begun rolling out, just after the November update finished. Anyone else noticing changes already?

I’ve seen something odd since November. My keywords are now in the top 3 but my overall traffic dropped by 15%. There haven’t been any major changes on my site to explain this.

It’s probably related to AI or ‘people also ask’ sections taking up space on the page. This could be affecting your traffic.

I’m seeing something similar. My click-through rate is going up, but impressions are down, especially over the last month. Maybe the algorithm is just balancing out.
The November update was the first one where my client’s site actually got less traffic. We got through the HCU and its updates but now we’ve been hit by this one.

Doesn’t matter anymore. Google is only favoring certain big media and controlled websites for the top rankings. After spending over $30k to recover and a year’s worth of effort, it’s pretty much impossible to make a comeback. And the process is totally random. I keep seeing others outrank us with basic content. It’s more of a hobby now than anything else.

Mine went from 28 to 41 with a 1% click-through rate. It’s flat out embarrassing.

My best month was in 2021 when I got 2,100 clicks, but I’ve never gotten anywhere close to that again.
They must’ve realised how bad the November update was.
