I’m approaching the 10k sessions mark on my blog and considering applying to Mediavine Journey. I’m curious about the application process, ad revenue, and whether it’s helped boost your site’s performance. Any insights or advice plz…
Been using it since August 5th, and I’m really enjoying it! Grow has some awesome tools for your site, like an RSS email feature and options to add links for the next post to read. It makes it feel like users are seeing more than one post because of the suggestions. I’m not making a ton of money yet, but it’s already more than I made in less than a month with AdSense. I think Mediavine has a better overall system, and I expect it to improve even more as I use it longer.
Got approved around June, and I like it so far… It’s actually the first ad network I’ve ever used, so I don’t really have anything to compare it to. I was accepted with around 9k sessions, and I’m in the travel niche.
Is it only meant 4 blogs? I logged in and saw a bunch of premade tools that are really helpful for blogs.
I joined on July 30th this year, so it’s been just under a month. As of yesterday, I’ve made $126.23 in revenue so far.
Getting approved was quick, but I ran Grow on my site for a month before I applied, so I guess they had all the data they needed.
Also, even though 10k sessions is the “requirement,” it’s not always strictly enforced. I only had about 7,000 sessions when I applied, and I still got accepted. In the last 30 days, I’ve had 8,239 sessions, so I’m not even at 10k yet, but I still got in…So if you want to apply, go for it…
Did you work with another ad network before Mediavine Journey? If so, do you think it’s better to switch right away or wait out the 60-day period with your old network?
I just got into Mediavine and my current ad network is telling me to wait until the end of October to remove their ads.
No, I didn’t work with any other ad networks. I actually waited to apply to Mediavine (Journey) because I’d heard so many good things about it…
Yeah…but it depends on your niche. If you’re in travel and you publish long articles, it’s a great choice. But if your articles are short, like 300-600 words, it might not be worth it since you won’t earn much.
