Yeah, I get it. There’s this idea that checking stats helps you make better decisions. But there’s definitely a balance to find so you don’t waste too much time focusing on things that don’t really matter, especially when you’re starting out.
I’m new to blogging, and I check my stats several times a day. It’s exciting when I see that the viewer count isn’t zero. Maybe I should check less often.

Interesting. I check daily too, but maybe I could try this method. How’s your blog doing? What’s your traffic like?
It’s slowly going up. Checking monthly helps, because there are some really bad days and some great ones. Seeing the month-to-month comparison gives a clearer picture.
@Braint
I totally agree. I’ll try it, though I’m really impatient and want to know right now. My traffic is about 0.12p a day, which isn’t much, but I guess the small increases keep me checking every day.
It could help to check your stats around special events and based on your niche. Checking monthly can show trends, but for some topics, traffic can fluctuate throughout the year, and there might be times when you need to keep a closer eye on things.
I check every weekend to see if there’s a sudden drop or not. Otherwise, I do the month-over-month comparison. It’s important to keep an eye on things, especially with how Google has been acting lately.
There’s nothing wrong with checking your stats, but you seem a bit fixated on them. Unless you’ve got everything set up perfectly and you’re sure your stats matter day-to-day, it’s better to focus on creating content and being genuine. Trust me, things will improve on their own.
@Lucas
I never said there’s anything wrong. Just sharing my experience on focusing more on the things that actually make a difference, like writing and promoting content. It’s helped me stay focused and not get discouraged by bad stats.
