Things have slowed down a little, but that’s typical for January. We lost two clients recently. They only planned for six months of SEO and now want to explore other marketing strategies.
We also let go of a long-term client we’d worked with since 2012. We revamped his website three times and kept him at the top of rankings, but he didn’t value the work, tried to save on costs, and ignored meeting requests. After 12 years, we told him it’s best he finds someone new. He was surprised but took it well.
On the bright side, we have a couple of new clients lined up who might start in March or April. Most of our clients are happy with our work, and we remind them to refer us if they know anyone needing SEO help.
I work for a company but also take on freelance projects. Sometimes people randomly find me on this forum and ask for advice, either free or paid, to improve their websites. Not sure what comments of mine they’re seeing, but it’s been happening a lot.
I focus on link building rather than full SEO services. January is always slower for leads, but this year the leads I’ve gotten have been converting more, so it’s balancing out.

Desperado vibes here.
Hey, no need to be harsh. Everyone’s experience matters.
