Hey guyz,
I’m pretty familiar with SEO, but I’m stuck with a problem I can’t seem to figure out. I started a website last year using an expired blog with some good authority. Since then, I’ve been posting SEO-optimized articles, interlinking content, and linking to quality sites, just like all the advice you see around here.
I’m focusing on low-volume keywords and making sure to cover topics that haven’t been written about before. Even with all this effort, my posts initially rank on the 2nd or 3rd page but then drop off after a few days.
So far, I’ve only posted 14 articles, and I know that’s not a huge number, but I’m feeling demotivated because of the ranking drops. I get that high-competition keywords are tough, but why is this happening with my low-volume, unique-topic posts?
I’m also on shared hosting—could that be affecting my rankings? I’ve heard that issues with shared servers can impact performance and rankings.
I’m open to sharing my site with anyone who’s willing to take a look. Otherwise, any general advice would be appreciated. Should I try link-building? Shouldn’t it be easier to rank for a unique topic if it’s fully SEO-optimized?
