I used to write about books but just couldn’t find the time to keep it going I’m not brave enough to be on camera but I really enjoy writing
Is blogging still popular Do people still read blogs
I miss writing about books but with a toddler, I can’t find the time to attract readers
Yes blogging is still very much alive I just finished reading an interesting year-end review of a leader and it took me over 30 minutes to finish
Setting clear goals helps
Blogging remains relevant, especially for personal or experience-based content In this time of AI-generated content, blogs that focus on personal perspectives really stand out AI can create how-to guides but it struggles to capture a person’s authentic voice and experiences
If writing about books excites you, your insights and emotions are something AI can’t replicate Even with a busy life because of your toddler, think about starting small maybe post occasionally or use a simple format that’s easier to manage Readers who seek a genuine connection will value your unique viewpoint
@properganda
Thanks for your thoughts! It sounds like you are describing my blog I’m not sure if I’m allowed to share links here, but I’m happy to provide if you’d like
@properganda
I agree with your perspective as well and want to add that personally, before AI came along, I noticed a decline in quality blogging content I’ve seen too much content that feels like a sales pitch instead of genuine creativity, especially with artists’ blogs which now often feel more like ads
You will always see posts saying blogging is dead, but I believe the opposite Blogging is very much alive, sure Google updates have changed things, but people still spend considerable time online reading what others have written So, in my opinion, blogging is definitely still relevant
@Unclewaffl3s
Thank you for reassuring me, I never really know
Blogging is still popular but unfortunately much of the content isn’t great Check out my post about AI and ads
I know many creators like myself who blog It’s a wonderful way to build a community

Look at the bright side I agree that many blogs are subpar That just means our blogs should perform better since the competition is not great
I think it’s fading, but not completely gone
AI’s ability to summarize blogs into simple paragraphs is impressive

That’s very true AI is putting blogging in an odd spot But I have reported errors with the summaries many times It’s kind of frustrating and a bit worrisome
@Kenn
Exactly I think it will only improve from here
Yes, blogs are still relevant and always will be A lot of AI is trained on online articles and blogs For instance, if you use something like Perplexity to ask questions, it provides related blog articles for its responses, especially for questions that don’t need scientific sources When you write a blog, whether for yourself or someone else, you always have to fact check and research the details I use AI for writing, brainstorming, and grammar checking, but I still search for specific topics to verify facts as well
@Braint
I’m old school I prefer using a dictionary and my own brain for writing or using word processing tools
Blogging as journaling seems to be fading Nowadays, blogging is more about sharing valuable information and it’s one of the top ways people access long-form written content Almost all text results from a search engine are typically some type of blog
The internet will always be here and as long as people need information, they will need someone to share that information Blogging has huge potential to meet that need
I have been blogging for a very long time and I will never stop, whether I make money or not I’m a writer and creating with words is essential to me

I feel the same way about writing fiction but I think I was blogging more than storytelling which I want to do more of I don’t expect to earn money from blogging
@betterblogger
It’s still writing I write about 500 words a day for my fiction Writing more is good practice and that’s the only way to truly improve Keep going, whatever you choose
Absolutely I’m approaching my 14th year of blogging in February and readership is higher now than in my first decade
Yes, even though social media and videos are popular, blogs are still read especially if you stay consistent and interact with your audience
