I have had a Blogger blog for over 17 years. After having kids, I posted only a few times a year, but now I’m back to daily blogging.
Recently, I switched to a new template, and since then, my traffic dropped significantly.
Google Search Console started showing a lot of errors and stopped indexing 75% of my pages, which I can’t fix on Blogger.
I’m not here to complain about the traffic issues, but this experience made me realize there’s not much support or community for Google’s Blogger platform. Is it dying?
The community and support around Blogger are not as vibrant as those for other platforms. This can make it harder for new users to find help and resources.
While Google Blogger is not as prominent as some newer platforms, it is not dead. Google has made recent updates and improvements to Blogger, indicating they still see value in maintaining it. However, the platform has evolved, and the community support might not be as robust as it once was.
Your traffic drop and indexing issues could be related to the new template. Sometimes, changes in templates can affect SEO and site performance. It might be worth exploring other blogging platforms like WordPress, which offer more extensive support and customization options.
