Some different views on blogging

Blogging doesn’t have to be a chore. It can be fun and a way to relax.

It can be completely free. Sites like Blogger are still here, functioning well and even have their own communities.

You don’t have to promote your blog at all. It can be something just for you. (Although I won’t lie, getting views feels nice)

There’s no need for experience. No degree or special knowledge required. All you need is the inspiration to write.

You don’t have to stick to a posting schedule. There’s no set number of posts you must create each week.

It doesn’t have to take over your life. It can be there for you whenever you want to write.

Blogging can be anything you want, just like other activities in life. Whether it’s making pizza or writing code, it can be a hobby or a job. You decide what path to take. There are many free tools for blogging, like Substack and WordPress

The mindset difference in this and the other post boils down to your intention with the blog. Are you in it for fun or as a way to make money (which the other advice relates to)

It’s interesting that some feel the need to add disclaimers to this post. Do you think the other post needs a disclaimer for only being about making money

@Brookrogen
The truth is some are here for profit or need to earn some cash. Blogging is a pretty straightforward way to start. Your points are valid, but this forum exists to help us improve our blogs

@Bruno
Blogging can be easy. But if you’re doing it to make money, it’s definitely not an easy task

Yes, but it doesn’t match the alternative truths about blogging as claimed by the original poster. It feels like nonsense. Either I’m on a different wavelength, or it’s beyond my understanding

This applies to those blogging as a hobby or wanting to try it out. For those intending to monetize or turn blogging into a business, most points don’t fit

That applies to the other post too
