I’m curious about how Semantic SEO is being used these days. Has anyone here tried it or seen results? How does it really impact search rankings and Google Ads?
It’s real. It’s been influencing search and Google PPC for a while. It’s why content clusters have become more important. It helps the algorithm gather more data to figure out the usefulness of a page in relation to the user’s actual intent, in my opinion.
I’m pretty sure focusing on semantic SEO is one of the reasons why my site bounced back from the HCU and has been getting more traffic lately. I’m no expert, though.
Yeah, you need to use as many buzzwords as you can.
It’s definitely a buzzword, but it also makes sense. There are specific ways to build content using parent-child keyword relationships that can help you outrank existing content without even building links. This works best in niches where the competition isn’t fully about backlinks. It’s easy to get confused by the term, though. A lot of people don’t realise that you also need to meet search intent to avoid high bounce rates. That’s why it helps to actually care about the topic you’re writing about or know it well. Otherwise, you’ll lose visitors who are searching for answers, not just a clickbait title.
How do you figure? Optimizing content based on user search intent is the modern way to do SEO. Isn’t it?

@wordpressguru
I don’t agree with you here. It seems like you’re confusing semantic SEO with old-school SEO. And your image doesn’t really explain your point. You’re not showing any real evidence that proves semantic SEO doesn’t work.
@Will1
Isn’t it pretty simple to search your keyword on Google and figure out the intent in a few seconds? When did this whole ‘deeper meaning’ thing become a must? I recently worked with a client using ‘home builder’ as a keyword and noticed that Google preferred small, local builders rather than big national ones. It didn’t take long to figure that out.
Always a screenshot, never a link. I’m adding this to the thread /confidemtlywrong. You post this every time, but it doesn’t support your argument. Why not post a real link instead?

It feels like this person just disagrees with everything related to modern SEO, and then posts blurry screenshots as if they’re proof.

I really don’t get it. What does this image show that proves semantic SEO is BS? If anything, it just shows you don’t understand it.

LSI hasn’t been proven. Go ahead and show me where it’s cited as effective for SEO. You might be confusing it with NLP. Look at the content writers who got hit in the HCU.

This is the Google SEO Starter Guide - I can’t post links here. I posted the screenshot to highlight what SEO experts ignore. Can you not use Google where you are? Try using Bing to search ‘Google SEO Starter Guide’.
@wordpressguru
That’s not accurate. Your logic just doesn’t make sense. Try again—I’ve got time today.

Because you say so? That’s not convincing.

No, it’s because your argument is flawed. Keep trying.

WebLinkr is the biggest clown in r/seo. I’d bet anything that this person doesn’t even understand how Trump won or why ABC and CBS were predicting the opposite.

What on earth does this have to do with the COVID Vaccine?
