Why isn’t my Adsense site earning any money

I have a site approved for Adsense for over a year but I still haven’t seen any earnings. Can anyone share tips for boosting traffic to my site or suggest good resources to learn about SEO and related topics online

Have you tried sharing your site on social media like Pinterest

SEO involves a lot of different areas, and it can be tough to find one source that explains everything clearly. I recommend creating social media accounts to help drive traffic. From my experience with a small blog, Pinterest can bring in a lot of visitors. You could run a Lighthouse analysis in Chrome for insights on SEO. If Google isn’t indexing your pages, make a sitemap and submit it to Google Search Console. Backlinks can improve your visibility too. And while I haven’t used them yet, I’ve heard good things about them. Don’t expect to get rich from ads alone; maybe consider Amazon affiliate marketing or guest posts on your blog

@Leon
I’ve been in a similar situation with my Adsense-approved site. Using social media works really well. If your niche is visual, Pinterest can drive lots of traffic. Try understanding SEO basics with tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush for keyword research and competitor analysis. Don’t forget to submit your sitemap to Google Search Console. Guest blogging can help you get backlinks over time. Also, consider diversifying your income streams with affiliate programs. Keep experimenting and learning as you go

@Meghan
SEO can be challenging, but you need to explore different strategies until you find what fits. As others have mentioned, social media is excellent for driving traffic. Pinterest has worked well for me, especially with visual content. A few viral pins can bring in steady visitors. I also host webinars related to my content, which generates a lot of interest. For SEO, tools like Ahrefs can show you which keywords competitors use. Remember to submit that sitemap; it’s basic yet important. Diversifying income streams is smart too; Amazon affiliates can be a good fit if aligned with your site

You can also drive traffic from Facebook and Pinterest. Have you thought about adding Hydro Online to your monetization options for more revenue

I guess the only way to move forward is to build a strong niche audience on every social media platform and direct that traffic to our blogs

I’m facing similar issues. Since the September 2023 update, it seems like the algorithm is pushing out smaller bloggers. My Adsense used to provide decent income, but now I’m struggling to get even a little organic traffic each day

@LyamGenesis
Yes, and Adsense’s payment structure is confusing. I recall using their revenue calculator which used to suggest a lower traffic estimate for earning around $7k per year. Now it shows $1.5k. I started my site in August 2023, and I feel like I’ve been impacted heavily by Google. Adsense is typically a go-to for newcomers, but with the algorithm changes, I’ve had very few clicks outside my site name. The front page seems full of promoted content and larger sites. Backlinks seem to carry a lot of weight in rankings, but everyone knows that now and won’t just give them away easily

You might want to consider switching to Mediavine or Journey by Mediavine; you could be missing out on substantial income

I don’t have enough traffic for that. I checked their revenue calculator which referenced 50k page views, but I only get about 2.7k sessions in 28 days. I’ve seen some folks get accepted with under 10k sessions, so that’s what I’m aiming for

@Nicole
Okay, maybe try using Pinterest to boost your traffic

Just send me a direct message

  1. Make sure your Adsense code is added correctly to your HTML. 2. Try a different web browser to see if ads show up. If they aren’t displaying, that can block certain areas of your page

After getting Adsense approval, I got excited and clicked too many ads, which resulted in a month-long ban

@Umbrielle
I mentioned that just to see if your ads are working. I did this when I first got approved

I get that, just sharing my own experience
