If you’re hitting $5000 or more from blogging, how did you get there? How long did it take? Did Google updates mess you up? If so, how did you recover?
I used to make this much, but the Google updates really hit me hard.
I made decent money before, but after the March update, I barely earn a few hundred now.

March really shook things up. It’s been tough staying consistent since then.
I usually make between $5k and $8k a month.

How do you make that kind of money? I’m broke and looking for a way to earn through blogging.

That’s amazing! How long have you been doing this? When did you start seeing those numbers?
If someone said they’re making way more than $5k, would you ask them to mentor you or spill all their secrets? Neither will probably happen.
There are plenty of case studies in this forum, but you didn’t even bother searching. Your post history shows you’re chasing anything that looks easy—self-publishing, affiliate marketing, now blogging.
I bet you think AI will magically do the work for you. Let me guess, someone told you it’s easy to make big money blogging, so here you are jumping in.

Thanks. Honestly, I’d love to see more real questions about running blogs instead of these posts like, ‘Why isn’t my AI blog making me rich?’ or ‘How can I make $5k by cutting corners?’
If no one calls this out, it’ll just keep cluttering the forum. Sure, it’s fine to ask about blogging income, but when you’re also posting things like, ‘How do I submit a sitemap?’ it’s hard to take it seriously.
@georgefathom
Exactly. If someone can’t even Google how to submit a sitemap, how are they expecting to make thousands of dollars? Everyone wants $5k a month before they’ve even earned their first dollar.
I wish I was making that much from blogging. I’d quit my job if I could.

If you want to clear those numbers, blogging becomes your full-time job. In fact, you’ll probably work more hours than a regular job to earn that much.
Sure, it’s more enjoyable than working for someone else, but it’s definitely a lot of effort. Sometimes, keeping a stable job and using blogging as a side hustle is a better balance.
@georgefathom
Yeah, I work a full-time job and then spend another 40 hours a week on my blog. It’s way more work than I expected.
I’m making around $2000 a month, not $5000 yet.
