I’m really tired of Google Analytics, feels way too complicated for what I need. I’m looking for something simpler to check my blog’s traffic. I’m thinking of trying https://www.simpleanalytics.com/, but does anyone have a better suggestion? What do you guys use?
I’ve been using Matomo for a while and I love it. Plus, it’s free.

Yeah, I’m thinking about moving away from anything Google because I don’t like how they use people’s data.
You should check out Piwik Pro. It’s a good alternative.
Have you tried usermaven.com? It’s a solid alternative to SimpleAnalytics and other tools like it.
I was so done with GA4 too. UA was working great but GA4 messed it up. I switched to Fathom Analytics and it’s awesome. Simple, easy to use, and you get data instantly. Plus, no cookie banners needed because it’s privacy-friendly right out of the box.

Glad to hear I’m not alone in hating GA4. Thanks for the link, I’ll give it a shot!
I’ve had a great experience with OptinMonster. It’s super easy and works well as a Google Optimize replacement.
Here are some alternatives you can look into:
Matomo: An open-source platform where you own your data, kind of like GA but with more privacy control.
Adobe Analytics: It’s for bigger companies and gives detailed reports, great for large-scale projects.
Mixpanel: Good for tracking how users interact with your app or site, especially useful if you’re building something like that.
Heap Analytics: It tracks everything your users do on the site without needing any setup beforehand.
Fathom Analytics: Simple, privacy-friendly, no cookies involved, GDPR compliant.
Clicky: Good for real-time data, with features like heatmaps and uptime monitoring.
Chartbeat: If you’re into content creation, this one’s cool for tracking how people are engaging with your work.
Segment: Helps you send data to different analytics and marketing tools all in one place.
Plausible Analytics: Another privacy-focused tool, really simple to use and understand.
Woopra: Focuses on customer journeys and tracking real-time user behavior.
