Anyone made it big with SEO?

I’ve been trying really hard but still no major breakthrough.

Clients: I get a percentage of profits from some, which keeps me motivated.

Services: They bring in very little money.

My own projects: There’s some good passive income, but nothing life-changing.

I’m not sure what to do next. Feels like I’m stuck.

What do you mean by rich? For me, it’s working from home, setting my own hours, having minimal client meetings, and choosing projects I enjoy. That’s enough to feel rich in my life.

Same here. I’ve been a digital nomad for 5 years now. I managed to buy a flat with a loan, and I’m there every day when my kid gets home from school. I couldn’t ask for more.

@Pulse4
If being rich means having comfort and happiness, you’re doing great.

I guess I’m rich in freedom, but not money.

Having flexibility and freedom feels like wealth to me.

Some people are so rich that money is all they have.

Rich usually means having a lot of money though. Isn’t that obvious?

My ex-boss is making millions every month with SEO. Their biggest clients barely need attention because big companies are slow-moving.

Are they doing SEO for others or just for their own projects?

@ThreadMaster
Most big money in SEO comes from personal projects. I’ve used tools like Ahrefs and SEMrush to optimise my own sites effectively.

SEO takes time, which is frustrating. But once you get ahead, it’s hard to lose that lead. Try balancing SEO investments with other income streams until it starts paying off.

Yeah, it feels slow at first, but when results come, it’s worth it. Local SEO has helped me a lot, and leveraging social platforms to boost traffic made a difference too.

@EdwardGenesis
Another comment plugging some tool… classic.

Have you thought about ranking for a high-paying affiliate offer?

It’s tough to scale organic SEO beyond mid 6-figures. Some companies do make millions combining SEO with other strategies like paid traffic. For example, Backlinko sold for $4 million. Paid traffic scales faster because you get data immediately.

@Williamson
I’ve found the same. Combining SEO with paid ads can really help scale things. It’s worth trying platforms like Adwords or Facebook ads to get faster results.

If you’re good at marketing your business, SEO can make you rich. Clients will find you through referrals or search engines.

SEO is about being visible. Platforms like LinkedIn or even this forum help. Most of my best clients came from referrals or my LinkedIn posts. Stay active and share your work. It’ll pay off eventually.

You don’t get rich doing SEO for others. You get rich doing it for yourself, building your own websites.
