Do Blogging Coaches with Low Website Traffic Actually Know Their Stuff?

I noticed a blogging coach I’ve been following doesn’t get a lot of traffic to their site. Is it wrong to wonder if that says something about their courses?

Makes me suspicious when anyone’s selling a skill instead of just doing it. If they’re that skilled, why not just focus on it themselves?

Two words… Nick Saban.

Five words… Who the heck is that?

@Henry
Haha, he’s a famous football coach… known more for coaching than for playing .

People reach a limit with what they can make from just selling time and skills directly. By selling their knowledge, they can get more out there in less time.

That said, there are definitely folks who skip actually learning the thing they’re teaching.

Depends on how old the site is, what content is on it, or if it’s a fully built blog or just a basic page.

They run a travel blog and aim at other travel bloggers. They’ve been at it for a while, so maybe a recent Google update is the issue?

@Levi
Could be! Could be the update, weak content, or maybe they just aren’t the best at SEO.

Right… more details would help.

Could be they’re busy with client work and haven’t had time to build up their own site… or they’re just not as good at SEO as they say.

@Reese
But if they’re focused on cold email, are they really fit to teach SEO?

Kind of like how car repair shops use billboards but aren’t necessarily experts in billboard marketing.

@Reese
Could be they’ve succeeded with other blogs, sold them, and this site is just a coaching front. Would need more info from the person who posted.

Maybe a silly question, but how do you know how many views they get?

I use SemRush and Keysearch to get a rough idea of their Google search traffic… not sure if it includes traffic from other sources though.

@Levi
Got it, thanks :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Maybe just ask them why their traffic is so low?

This kind of reminds me of that movie Cocktail.

Do you have any idea how many visits they get monthly?
