Does keyword density really matter for SEO anymore… or not? How much is too much?

Hey everyone,

I’ve been reading up on SEO stuff and I keep finding mixed opinions about keyword density. Some say it’s still important, others think it’s totally old news.

So what’s the deal now? Does keyword density still play a part in rankings? If it does, how much should we aim for?

I’m trying to optimize my content without going overboard. Anyone have recent experiences or tips?

Thanks!

I wouldn’t focus on it too much. Just write something useful and the right keywords will naturally show up.

I’d love to know that too!

I’m using Ahrefs. Any tool you recommend?

It doesn’t matter anymore. Keyword density is pretty much outdated.

A good rule is around 0.5% of total words, like 5 keywords per 1000 words.

But I try to keep things natural and not force it.
