I knew it, I posted about this yesterday.
If this December update is like others in the past, then if your site is ecommerce, you better hang on. Google tends to target ecommerce sites in December.

It’s just to get them to buy ads. Google’s got its own agenda.
Google rn.
I’ve noticed some strange things happening here and there, but no ‘winter is coming’ yet.
In the last few weeks, I’ve seen impressions cut by 50% across several sites I own. No big changes on my end, the content is not AI generated, and the SEO strategy is the same. It’s just suddenly dropped in half. I’m sure I’ll adapt, but it’s strange with no explanation.
@Barbara
Same thing happened on two of my sites. One is my agency site and the other is a client’s site that I linked via an ‘our projects’ page. It doesn’t seem like a simple cross-link would be enough to cause a 50% drop in impressions and pages being deindexed.
Why does Google bother announcing these updates? They’re always updating. Bing doesn’t bother with it. My guess is that the last update didn’t bring in enough profit, so they’re doing this one to make sure they get more money from it. Honestly, I don’t even care about Google updates anymore.
Well, good. Just in time for Christmas too.
I remember when these updates used to matter.
Hope for the best with this one.
Forget Google. All my sites were destroyed by the November update.
Why are you worried?

Point me to the part of my post that says I’m worried. I’m just sharing info.
