How to begin your own personal blog just for fun?

Hi there!

For a while now, I’ve been really into doing my own research, mostly for college projects. I’ve noticed that because the subject I’m studying isn’t very popular in my country, it’s tough to find others who are interested or resources to use. Not to brag, but I often feel like my research turns out better than others in my class because of this.

When I finish a project, I hate feeling like it’s just sitting there with nowhere to go. I’ve just finished my first year of college, and I wish there was somewhere I could share my work and maybe connect with other people who are interested in it. I also like playing around with web design, so I’ve been thinking about starting a blog.

I’m not looking to make money from it, and I won’t be posting every day. Since my subject isn’t super popular, I don’t expect my blog to become huge, but I think it could be a good way to share my work within smaller communities. Do you think I should start a blog? And if so, do you think WordPress.com or Blogger would be good options for a small blog like mine?

Decide what you want your blog to be about. It could be related to your college projects, your hobbies, or anything else you’re passionate about.
