I’ve been wanting to start this newsletter for a while, but the thought of writing and no one reading it makes me uneasy. I’ve got a page set up for a waitlist, but I’m unsure where to share it or how to make it appealing. Has anyone here managed to get email sign-ups for a blog before actually publishing anything? Any advice?
Your first readers won’t know if there are two or two hundred others. Just write as if you’re talking to two hundred, and the numbers will catch up over time.

Good point, thanks. I guess once I get a few posts out there, I’ll stop focusing so much on the numbers.
I actually launched first and then started gaining subscribers naturally after that.

Makes sense. When you published your first few posts, how did you manage to get traffic to your blog?

Mostly through SEO.
Do you mean just focusing on keywords or is there more to it?

It’s about long-tail keywords, getting backlinks and writing original, good-quality content that’s not generated by AI.
