The first part was tough. I actually started my blog randomly at 3 a.m. on a whim… not exactly the best plan! But I posted about it the other day, and now I’m happy I did it. If I had taken the time to really think about it, I probably wouldn’t have gone through with making a blog. At first, I felt super overwhelmed, but I’m getting used to it and enjoying it more now. I’ve gotten over 100 views on the website so far, but only about 40 unique ones.
I have no idea how to check other stats or even what stats I should be looking for. I just started a newsletter today, and I’m starting to add a signup option at the bottom of my blog posts, along with some links to more posts. I’m excited to see if these changes will make a difference.
Hey, you should try adding Google Analytics. It’ll give you all the stats you need. Depending on what you’re using for your site (like WordPress), you can use a plugin like Google SiteKit to set it up.
I totally get that feeling! I also started my blog without knowing everything that was involved. If I’d known beforehand, I probably would’ve been too nervous to do it. So what’s your blog about?

It’s about animals! I love learning about them, so I pick a random animal, do some research, and share what I find out. I try to add a bit of humor in there too. Once I get more readers, I’m thinking of doing a ‘pet of the week’ and maybe some product reviews and recommendations.
