Hey folks…
I’m planning to launch a new brand very soon and I’m currently gathering information on how to drive organic traffic to my website. I’ve been reading a lot about different strategies, and blogging keeps coming up as a recommended tactic. However, I’m a bit unsure about how effective it really is for e-commerce.
Do you think I should invest time and resources into developing a strong blog strategy for my website? If so, what are some efficient methods to generate organic traffic that’s likely to convert into sales? I’m particularly interested in tips that can help attract the right audience who would be interested in buying from my store.
Blogging is the best way to boost your organic presence and improve your e-commerce site’s ranking. The more content you create, the more topics you cover, which helps your site get noticed.
Ofcoz man…a blog can really help boost organic traffic if done correctly. If you’re writing the blog yourself, make sure to focus on highly relevant keywords with good search volume. There’s no point in writing about something no one is searching for.
For e-commerce, collection pages are crucial. Aim to have at least 1,000 words of content below your products on these pages. Every page should target a specific keyword, and your URL should include that keyword. Also, make sure each page has a meta description with the target keyword.
Link your blog posts to your collection pages, but don’t link back from the collection pages to the blog posts. The goal is to guide users toward making a purchase.
If you have the budget, think about hiring an SEO content specialist or writer. SEO can be complex and requires a good amount of learning.
As an SEO specialist, I can say that blogging is one of the best things you can do for your website. You need to be consistent with writing and publishing. While creating your strategy, remember to focus on “helpful content” and follow the “E-E-A-T” guidelines (Expertise, Experience, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness).
If you don’t have a blog, you’re missing out big time. It’s basically your top-of-the-funnel (TOFU) strategy. You can then use conversational chatbots to filter out those who aren’t serious buyers. Look into sales funnel strategies, and you’ll understand the importance.
Yes, I cant quite remember the exact numbers, but I think having a blog can bring in 70% + of tha traffic.
I made a mistake by creating a blog that’s completely unrelated to my e-commerce store on the same domain. Now, I get hundreds of visitors to my blog every day, but none of them are interested in buying anything from my store.
