Is Grammarly Plagiarism Checker Reliable?

Hey all, I’m working on a huge research paper for school, and plagiarism is a major concern. I’ve been using Grammarly for all the grammar stuff, but I just noticed they have a plagiarism checker too. Is it any good? Can I rely on it to catch everything, or should I be using something else as well?

It is reliable but it is not always 100% correct.

While Grammarly is a well-established plagiarism checker used in schools and offices to spot copied content, it’s not perfect. Some users have reported it mistakenly marking original text as plagiarism. This can be frustrating!

Grammarly Plagiarism Checker cannot distinguish between cited and referenced entries. It also cannot detect previously released content that is only accessible through other paying sites that need users to log in. It is still up to you to identify between genuine plagiarized work and those that are not properly attributed to their original owners.
