Is there room for a horror story blog or am I just dreaming

I’ve always seen myself as a creative writer. Writing tragic stories brings me joy. I’ve got tons of short stories and ideas that I want to share on a blog. Do you think a creative writing blog would find an audience? I’d love to earn from it, but mostly I just want people to genuinely enjoy my stories.

You are the niche

Haha that’s true.

You mentioned horror short stories, but you could explore sub-niches like different time periods, locations, or themes. If your writing is good, people will read it.

Totally agree. I once met someone who talked endlessly about a book they were writing. The final draft was so poorly written, it was shocking. It was just boring. I can’t believe they thought a publisher would want it.

Create the niche

In my opinion, writing a collection of stories as a book might be a better idea. Or consider making a game.

Everything can be a niche. Go ahead with it

Follow what you love and don’t worry too much about the niche. Authenticity is what really matters.

I was in the same boat a few days ago. If you’re into something, there are likely many others who feel the same way. It’s all about finding them. This forum could be a good starting point.

Many people are into that niche. Horror movies are popular all year long. You should definitely try it.

I appreciate the encouragement

Just a heads up, getting adsense approval is tricky because Google looks for blogs that provide value. Monetizing could lead to low revenue if you don’t meet their guidelines.

I’m not really sure what you mean, could you clarify a bit

@Arthur
If your blog doesn’t offer value or if the content is easily found elsewhere, getting adsense will be tough.

Don’t pay attention to this. The horror genre is massive. This person might be jealous or competing with you. If you write well and draw in readers, go for it. Just be ready to put in hard work for a while to see results. Don’t quit and be yourself. If you’re thinking about using AI for writing, I’d say skip that. Originality is key.

If you’re not familiar with blogging, you might want to reconsider your approach. Monetization has many factors, and quality content is crucial.

Show me your blog if you’re so knowledgeable.
