Looking for a Good AI Image Generator?

Hi everyone, I’m searching for an AI image generation tool with a variations feature like Midjourney’s four-box option. The $60 per month for Midjourney feels a bit high. Is there a better option out there?

I only pay $10 a month for MidJourney.

Same here, I like it a lot.

Have you tried Flux (dev or pro models) or Ideogram? Ideogram is great if you want to generate text, and it offers useful style modes. Midjourney is good for artistic images but may lack coherence in prompts. Dall E 3 is decent with prompts but doesn’t always produce high-quality images.

Ideogram fits your needs for $20 a month. It has private mode, variations, and a lot of credits available. The UI is better in my opinion, plus you can upload images and describe them easily. Image quality is about 90% of what Midjourney delivers for everyday users.

@Harper
They do sound impressive. My concern is the style and content reference from uploaded images. Do you have experience with this? How does it compare to Leonardo? They also lack a transparent image feature.

Why go for the $60 plan when there are $10 and $30 plans available?

I need stealth mode.

Give Ideogram a shot, it’s one of the best options. It has four variations and allows you to edit and improve images easily. It also offers 10 free generations each day with paid plans available.

Adobe Firefly is decent, but it’s Adobe, so maybe steer clear.

Interesting. What’s your reasoning behind that?

I’m working on a tool that generates images based on webpage content and style. If you send me a URL from your blog, I can share some images it created for feedback.

There are plenty of free alternatives out there.

If you had to choose your top two, what would they be?

Have you checked out Bing images?

Adobe Firefly is my go-to since I have an Adobe account through work.

I can’t find a cost or subscription page. Do you need a plan to access it?

Yes, you need a plan. The cost is about $79 a month for the entire Adobe suite. If you use Adobe products, it could be worth it. I use Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition, Firefly, and Premiere Pro. Here’s my latest project: https://youtu.be/g3TWI-nWDGE?si=kWvzqVueLAt6TsaZ. I used Firefly for generating images and created animations in Photoshop.

@ThreadMaster
Amazing. Thanks for the detailed response.
