Hey everyone, I’ve been blogging since 2002, first on Blogspot and then since 2009 on WordPress. I want to try something new and maybe build a content aggregator alongside my own posts.
I’m thinking about using either Ezoic or Medium, but I’m open to any other recommendations. If you have any suggestions, please share!
Medium can be pretty frustrating for readers. I’d avoid it. I’ve been using Dreamwidth for my personal blog, but it’s not great if you’re aiming to rank on Google. It’s more laid-back, good for personal stuff.
I mostly use WordPress myself, so I don’t know too much about other platforms. But why are you considering switching? Maybe I could help you better if I know more.

Thanks for asking. The main reason is monetization. I used to be a journalist, but I lost my job recently, so I’m looking for other income streams. I know I won’t get rich, but I can’t monetize my blog on wordpress.com, even though I’ve had over 300,000 visitors since 2009. Here’s the link if you’re curious: https://funkyjeff77.wordpress.com/
