What is the best strategy to get email signups?

Hi! I’ve launched my blog 2 weeks ago and at least expected to get a couple of email sign-ups. From nearly 100 visitors I did not get any subscribers. Could you please advise what are your best learned lessons in getting people to subscribe to your blog?

I tweaked the design a couple of times and revised content. The target audience here is very clear, and so the content is created exactly for them. How should the offer sound so people are motivated enough to subscribe? My blog: https://shedstory.com

Create lead magnets related to your niche and integrate them within content strategically or display within blog layout. Make sure they aim at resolving the most pressing pain points of your target audience so that they can engage with it, give you an email, and download it. Additionally, focus on creating the most helpful blog posts aligned with keyword research and search intent so they can subscribe to your blog. More value means higher opportunities. Don’t tweak the design many times as it will affect or experience temporary traffic fluctuations.

Nice, thank you very much!

I clicked your link, it doesn’t take me anywhere? Is there a typo in your URL?

Sorry, made a mistake! https://shedstory.com

Good content that folks find useful to them will get people to subscribe. You could offer a freebie for signing up like free information they can’t find on the blog.

As ThinkBig said, your web URL is invalid and goes nowhere.

OK your link in bio works; I think an extra full stop has been added to the URL in the post.

I am in India and your website is not opening here.

Having high authority and a blog that interests other people. You could use a squeeze page as well… offer your 2-page newsletter about the best ways to… whatever your blog discusses. Trade that special thing for their email address.

If your goal is email signups I’d highly encourage you to consider collaborations as a way to add leads. I’ve added hundreds of leads by participating in bundles, freebie swaps, joint venture trainings, etc. It’s hard asf to get seen on social media or SEO. So scale relationships with collaborations. Not trying to sell, but putting it out there I have a whole collab membership where we send collab opportunities to apply to. Ever since I made the switch to scaling relationships than online algorithms I’ve had more time on my hands and better quality leads.

Yes, my primary goal is to get people to sign up. So I have a way to bring them back to the blog when a new story is shared, etc. I don’t exactly get what you mean by saying collaborations. Maybe you could give me your blog link? Thanks for the advice though!

Bro your blog theme is nice, where can I get it?

Your blog is not opening! Can you check the spelling (or) is the domain name live?

I’m by no means an expert, but your sign-up offer really just seems to promise more stories. While exclusive, it’s still more of the same. As madhuforcontent indicated, promise to solve their most pressing pain points. Finally, the language used on the sign-up could be more compelling. Just my 2 cents after reading 1 story and the newsletter sign-up offer. Best of luck!
