So where do you usually go spear fishing? I asked my neighbour in Hawaii this once, and he just laughed at me.

Haha, that’s funny.

Law firms and dentists have been great for us. Even if they land just one solid lead a month, the SEO services pay for themselves. It’s competitive, but we’ve built a strong system that works well.

That’s solid advice. I’ve heard similar things about concrete contractors, tree services, and artificial grass businesses. They’re high-ticket niches too. I’ve been struggling to get clients lately, though. I did manage to rank a site to sell leads, but it’s been tough moving them.

I’ve got an eye doctor client who’s stuck in the #3 spot for years. I imagine dentists are similar. What have you found works best for local SEO rankings in dentistry?

@PixelPioneer
What area are you talking about? And by #3, do you mean they’re in the top 3 overall?

Yeah, #3 in organic results. They’re in a city in the Midwest with about 80,000 people. The top spot belongs to a bigger practice with multiple locations statewide. They also do ophthalmology, so they offer more services. But the #2 practice outranking us is a mystery. Their SEO doesn’t seem that strong.

Do you mind if I message you privately? I could really use some pointers.

@MaryJane
Go ahead.

Solar panels and plastic surgery work well.

Niches like HVAC, kitchen and bathroom remodelling, and pest control have worked well for me.

Do you know any good guides or courses for learning SEO?

I’ve had some success with technology-related niches.

It’s a bit competitive, but there are lots of ways to monetise it.

I don’t really choose. Clients just find me somehow.

I work with community-based niches.
