I’ve been hearing a lot about recent Google updates and how they might be affecting indexing. Right now, the only tool I’m using is Google Search Console to monitor my blog’s performance.
I launched my blog in June using Next.js and deployed it with Vercel. I regularly tweak the site to improve its functionality and user experience. I focus on programming-related content and try to post consistently.
So far, I’m getting about 5 clicks every 7 days with around 100 impressions, and I have 20 articles indexed.
I’m curious about what else I should be doing to improve my blog’s visibility. Is Google even indexing my site properly? Are there any strategies or tools I should consider beyond what I’m currently doing?
Google’s job isn’t to send traffic to your blog. Instead, it helps users find what they need. That might not always be your blog.
To get more visitors, you need to promote your blog and build an audience, maybe on social media. You can also work on building your credibility by getting recommendations from well-known websites, which are called backlinks. This can help Google show your blog to more users.
Keyword research is critical. Are you writing what people are searching for in your niche? And are there other blogs with similar authority rankings for those keywords?
You can grow your blog by sharing it on other websites and using different types of links to rank for specific keywords. Profile links are a helpful way to get backlinks.
