Hey everyone, I recently started writing blogs about fashion and lifestyle. I want to add images to make my blogs look nice, but I asked my tutor about using Pinterest pictures, and he said I shouldn’t. He mentioned there’s a risk of getting copyright claims, which has me worried. I’d love to use images without any legal issues.
Can anyone share websites where I can find good-quality, copyright-free pictures? Thanks in advance!

Try Pixabay, Pexels, or Freepik. You can also search for ‘royalty-free images’ online for more options.
Just so you know, ‘royalty-free’ doesn’t mean free. Many images labeled as royalty-free might still cost money to use. What you’re looking for are Public Domain or Creative Commons images. Be sure to read the terms for Creative Commons licenses to avoid issues.
If you embed the Pinterest post instead of downloading the image, it should avoid copyright issues. This way, people see the original post on your blog.

My tutor advised me to avoid Pinterest because one of his other students got into trouble for using it heavily. I want to keep my blog simple and safe since my main focus is learning SEO. Do you know of any other alternatives?

If you’re using WordPress, you can easily embed Pinterest posts. Just type “/” in the editor, select Pinterest, and paste the post’s link. It’s pretty simple!

That’s correct! Embedding Pinterest (or other social media) posts is a safe way to use them legally.

Why not take your own pictures? Does your phone have a camera?
You could try creating collage art using old magazines or books. If you photograph or scan your work, it’s usually safe since it’s transformed into something new.

Be careful with derivative works. There have been legal cases where the original creator still had rights, even with significant changes. Just something to keep in mind!
