Another Day, Another Pinterest Post

Happy 2025, awesome people! A few months ago, I shared my joy about reaching 150k impressions and 3.4k outbound clicks after three months. Now, a little over 7 months into my Pinterest journey, I’ve hit 1M impressions and an incredible 28k outbound clicks. I’m super excited and just wanted to share my experience!

Here’s what I’ve been doing:

  • Posting 8-13 pins daily.
  • Conducting extensive keyword research without fancy tools—just using the search bar and the colored options on relevant pins.
  • Creating visually appealing pins, including infographics.
  • Monitoring what works and adjusting accordingly.

There was a dip in these numbers during the holiday season since I don’t have much holiday content, so this milestone is definitely worth celebrating!

What is your Pinterest? That’s a lot of posting—8-13 pins a day! Are they all different every time?

Yes, I use templates I’ve created over time to speed up the process.

@CharlotteAmelia
I have a template too, but that’s still a lot of new photos each day!

That’s definitely worth celebrating! Those numbers are impressive!

Thanks a lot!

Incredible stats! I haven’t tried Pinterest yet but have been posting on Flipboard, averaging 300 outbound clicks daily. Most traffic is from the UK, though, so RPMs aren’t as high as with U.S. traffic.

@SHANIA
Awesome! How long did it take you to reach 300 outbound clicks daily, and what’s the workload like?

My VA handles the workload, typically putting in 3-4 hours weekly to post 5 times a day. He’s been doing this for about 6 months.

What’s your engagement like from Pinterest? I’ve heard bounce rates are high, with most session durations under 30 seconds for Pinterest outbound traffic. Have you found ways to keep users engaged?

@SHANIA
Not great, to be honest. My average is around 47 seconds. I plan to experiment with more interactive content over the coming months. A lot of low engagement usually comes from users clicking on clickbait titles that don’t deliver when they land on the site. Is Flipboard better for engagement? What’s your average session duration there?

@CharlotteAmelia
Flipboard is slightly better for me—around 1 minute 20 seconds. Users tend to engage more and often check at least 2 pages before leaving. I’ve also seen a rise in direct traffic since using Flipboard.

Following some recommendations from this sub, I’m currently using interactive images for better engagement, which might be contributing to the higher engagement and pageviews per user.

@SHANIA
I’d love to get mine above a minute! I’ll try some strategies and hopefully improve engagement. Since I get 90% U.S. traffic from Pinterest, boosting my engagement would be great. I’d also like to try Flipboard—how much of your traffic is from the UK? If you don’t mind, can I reach out later to get your insights? I want to get started on Flipboard ASAP.

@CharlotteAmelia
Sure, feel free to message me. I get about 70% of my traffic from the UK via Flipboard. Overall, 40% of my traffic comes from the U.S. Organic traffic is still my primary source, but I’m diversifying now. I chose Flipboard because the competition was relatively low.

That’s amazing!! You’re my goals! Keep up the excellent work and good luck for continued success!

Thank you!

@classic_i do you think posting 10 articles per day on Pinterest will help my site? I currently get around 150 visits and want to reach 1000!

Fantastic!
